Can the Working Class Change Society

Thursday, September 29 at 7:30pm - 9:00pm

Madison Area Technical College - Downtown 211 N Carrol St

Over the pending economic crisis it has become more and more obvious that corporations are not creating more jobs and politicians do not have the interest of the working class in mind. We are told that we must wait patiently while the people in power repair the crisis, the only tool available to us being the vote.

The International Socialist Organization poses the question: "Can the working class change society?" We will explore this question looking at the history of working class movements that have had enormous impacts on society throughout history. We will examine this question from a scientific point of view as well, utilizing Marxist economics.
